FUNDING / HACK THE FIRST AGI 1.0
Fully funded. Clearly defined.
Travel, stay and official meals for selected finalists. Read the approval and documentation requirements before booking.
FULLY FUNDED FOR SELECTED FINALISTS
The organizing team funds reasonable round-trip transportation to Goa, organizer-approved accommodation, official-event meals, approved local transportation and official event participation costs, subject to official approval and reimbursement rules.
TRAVEL & REASONABLE CAPS
Eligible travel may include economy-class flights, AC train, intercity bus or approved combinations. Organizers may set reasonable caps based on departure city, booking timing, route availability, event dates and comparable market pricing. Obtain the travel policy, approved dates and caps before booking. Premium upgrades are not automatically reimbursed.
ONE ROOM PER FINALIST TEAM
Standard organizer-funded accommodation provides one room per finalist team, whether it contains 2 or 3 participants. Separate rooms are not automatically funded for each participant. Extra rooms requested solely for personal preference are normally self-funded.
PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION EXCEPTIONS
Accessibility needs, medical requirements, safety considerations, gender/privacy concerns and other reasonable circumstances may qualify for organizer-approved exceptions. Such requests are handled privately by the organizing team.
TEAM FINANCE REPRESENTATIVE
A finalist team may nominate one participant to pay eligible expenses on behalf of other members and consolidate reimbursement documentation. In a three-person team, the representative may book eligible travel, pay eligible event-related expenses, collect invoices and receipts, maintain the expense statement and submit the team’s reimbursement package.
CONSOLIDATED PAYMENT
Once approved, organizers may reimburse the nominated representative for the approved consolidated amount. The representative is responsible for any required internal distribution. All team members should acknowledge the consolidated reimbursement statement before payment.
DOCUMENTATION
Include, where applicable: invoice, tax/GST invoice, receipt, proof of payment, booking confirmation, passenger details, participant name, booking date, travel date, route, expense description, merchant, currency, amount and reason for expense. Keep original records. Timing and submission channels will be communicated to finalists.
NORMALLY EXCLUDED
Business- or first-class upgrades; luxury transfers; unrelated tourism travel; personal shopping; alcohol; minibar charges; leisure excursions; companion travel for non-participants; avoidable change penalties; unrelated hotel nights.
CLAIM INTEGRITY
Organizers may reject duplicate, unverifiable, unrelated or non-participant expenses, manipulated invoices, fraudulent receipts and luxury upgrades outside policy. Fraudulent reimbursement submissions may result in immediate disqualification and recovery of funds.
DIRECT BOOKING
Organizers may book hotels, group transportation, flights, airport transfers or meals directly instead of reimbursing. Participants cannot claim an equivalent duplicate purchase unless expressly approved.
FINAL DATES & ATTENDANCE
The expected Goa window is October 1–15, 2026. Maintain availability until exact dates are confirmed. The final runs approximately 3–4 days. Exact dates and venue will be communicated privately. Finalists must attend the complete official event, mandatory sessions, judging and final presentation.
PRIZES & BENEFITS
Prizes and finalist benefits are funded by the HACK THE FIRST AGI 1.0 organizing team unless otherwise announced. First, second and third team prizes are ₹5,00,000, ₹3,00,000 and ₹2,00,000. Awards require verified identity, eligibility and rule compliance; applicable tax withholding and reporting may apply.
RANKS 4–15: CODEX ACCESS
Eligible recipients from Rank 4 through Rank 15 receive six months of organizer-funded Codex access, subject to account eligibility, product availability, applicable service terms, geographic availability, and the reimbursement/provisioning mechanism communicated by organizers. Provisioning may use direct purchase, reimbursement, eligible subscription credits or another lawful method. Recipient-level allocation and account arrangements will be communicated; no particular plan or usage allowance is specified.
INDEPENDENT ORGANIZER FUNDING
OpenAI is not a sponsor. The Codex benefit is independently funded by the organizing team. Product references do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, judging or official support by their respective companies.
